The Murphys Historic Hotel has been a landmark in Calaveras County for more than 150 years.

Nine rooms are located within the old hotel itself, while an additional 20 are modern lodge rooms,
available in an adjacent building. The modern rooms have TVs and private baths. Mini-suites are available.

Historic hotel rooms and suites are furnished with period antiques. In accordance with their historic nature
they do not have televisions or telephones. Shared bathrooms and showers are down the hall. Among the hotel's more
notable past guests have been Mark Twain, Susan B. Anthony, President Grant, and John Wayne.

The Dorrington Hotel was built in 1852. A complimentary continental breakfast of coffee, juice,
cereal, muffins, and pastries is provided to guests. The hotel has its own restaurant.
They have five rooms decorated with antique furniture and brass beds. The rooms share two large baths. A separate cabin with kitchenette, fireplace, and spa tub is also available.
